Book sold on ebay has been substituted with a fake

I sold a copy of the limited edition signed numbered folio society collected edition of "the book of the new sun" by Gene Wolfe. I shipped it using tracked shipping and eBay's global shipping program, because the buyer was in Italy. The shipping took a week, as soon as the package was signed for, the buyer contacted me claiming that they only received a standard folio two volume set, unsigned, much less rare - the book has been substituted after shipping, presumably at the point the package was opened. They sent a poor quality photo of this fake book next to the open package along with their message. I have reported a buyer abuse with eBay and escalated it to their shipping program.
